are you reading this?  I am about to celebrate the 2nd year of sweet casual style and I am thinking about making changes to the site and the content I share.  I can look at google analytics and see how many unique visitors I have to the site and which posts are the most popular but I still wonder, are you reading this and why?  I’ve had people I know or met that say they love my blog but I still  question a lot.  I wish I could get feedback from anyone who reads the blog to tell me what more you would want to see or read about.  I rarely get comments on the site and when I ran one of my first contests with a very cool company a few weeks ago {havaianas}…not a lot of people participated.  I do wonder why?  I have seen many other giveaways on other sites that get a huge response.  I was excited and very honored to be approached by havaianas to do this…but to be honest, I felt bad that it didn’t really get the response I hoped for – not for me but for them.  I share my posts on facebook and twitter but I don’t want to overwhelm people too much – again questioning a lot.

many people have asked me why I have this site and what I want to accomplish with the site.  I think that my answers today are very different from two years ago when I launched the site.  this site started with a couple goals in mind.  I wanted to have a creative outlet to share all of the ideas I have, products and stores I love and blogs and sites that inspire me {& hopefully you too}.  Another one of my first year goals was to have “sponsors” for the site because I thought that might be important because many other sites have many sponsors or ads running on their sites.  let me be very clear that I feature many different stores, products, sites and people I love for nothing in return.  I enjoy it and it is fun for me to connect with businesses, people, bloggers and designers I admire.  Now, you may find at the top of this page, there is a {shop} category.  This has been “coming soon” for two years now.  I did intend and still do want to open an online boutique.  Clearly, this would be an opportunity to not just share my favorite things but allow you to also purchase them!

You may also see another category named gratitude.  I wanted to have a forum to share people’s stories of gratitude and create a place to help others who may have experienced a tough time – no matter what that looks like.  from time to time, I have weaved this into some of my posts.  I have shared personal stories but sometimes I wonder if this is the forum to do that – but then I think to myself, this is my site {blog} and I can say and do what ever I want, right?  a blog is defined as, “A web site on which an individual or group of users record opinions, information, etc. on a regular basis.”  I just wonder at times if I am not clear or focused on what this site is and whether it makes sense for me to be a little all over the place {similar to the way this post is sounding – a little all over the place}!  I have so many ideas and so much to share.  I just need to get organized and focused and present it to all of you and see what you think.  I also have a lot of advice I want to share about marriage, being a working mom, family, friendships, etc and I am trying to figure out if that all makes sense to live here on this site…thoughts?

I would love to know if you are reading this.  I would love and I am asking for your feedback.  I have many readers from many different countries and I would love to hear what you want to see and what you want to know about.  I care.  I want to know what you are thinking.  thank you in advance for your comments and I promise to listen and incorporate what you want!  xo Corry
