joie de vivre

joie de vivre…

…is a beautiful french phrase which means joy of living or enjoyment of life.

I was actually told recently that I may not be allowing myself to live this…that I may be too busy or stressed at times to feel my own joie de vivre.  as you can imagine, this has made me think about my life quite a bit.  I wonder if there is anything that I am not taking the time to enjoy?  or, (sigh) am I taking things for granted?  I think we all feel that time seems to be flying by…end of quarters come too fast at work…kids are growing up too quickly and the weekends are a flash.  I think this has made me take a serious pause and I realize I need to stop and smell the peonies.  (peonies are my ultimate favorite flower ever).  the beautiful peonies in the photo above are from a blog I just discovered, oh happy day! (love it!)  I just now realized how appropriate this photo is from Jordan’s blog oh happy day…because she left San Fran and moved her family to Paris for a year!  talk about  joie de vivre! very inspiring…to follow your heart & passion or just do something you always wanted to do!

and to live the life you love or love the life you live…and I do!
